Your kids are at a point where they move without worries. The activity and playfulness are what keep their bodies adjusted as they are growing. After that, they just want to gobble the food they want, but unfortunately, sweets and junk foods are their usual top choices.
It is hard to train kids to live a healthy lifestyle, and so you have to be more creative in your approach. You can start small, like a snack or dessert. Good thing that healthy smoothies are just as tasty as chocolate shakes and ice creams.
Here are 2 smoothie recipes that utilize pineapple and another fruit: one is strawberry, and the other is mango.
Ingredients (Pineapple Strawberry Slushy Smoothie):
- water = 1 cup
- spinach/kale = 1 cup
- frozen pineapple = 1 cup
- frozen strawberries = 1/2 cup
- ground flax seeds = 1 tablespoon
- chia seeds = 1 tablespoon
Ingredients (Green Pineapple Mango Smoothie):
- water = 1 cup
- spinach/kale = 1 cup
- pineapple = 1 cup
- frozen mango = 1/2 cup
- ground flax seeds = 1 tablespoon
- chia seeds = 1 tablespoon
Procedures:
